First of all, the word ketosis refers to the state of the human body when it doesn’t have enough carbohydrates and starts to rely on proteins, fat and muscle to make up for the energy loss. So, this explains why this diet got the name ketosis diet. In other words, a ketosis diet is a kind of a diet with a low amount of carbs or no carbs at all. In this state, the brain informs your body to make reserves of glucose for emergencies only. This happens due to the lack of carbs intake in your organism. In that case, the brain starts using fat stores because it immediately needs energy. Sounds great, doesn’t it?
